For those looking for even more power and control, the Tailwind offers a full throttle add-on. This upgrade enables full-throttle operation, allowing you to ride without pedalling. Key points to note:

• It takes 6-8 weeks for the bike to be tested and certified by a DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) centre.
• Legal Use: Full-throttle e-bikes are only legal in the UK if they have been tested, approved, and certified by a DVSA centre. The approval certificate must show the bike’s make, model, and frame number.
• Range Impact: Riding with throttle-only reduces battery range by up to 30%, so it’s best to pedal whenever possible.

Important Note: Without the correct DVSA certification, full-throttle electric bikes are not legally allowed on public roads, footpaths, or any private land with public access.
